This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having an acute and severe attack of asthma.
Behaviour and mood changes:
This medicine may cause changes in behavior and mood. Symptoms such as agitation, irritability, anxiety, unusual dreams, suicidal thoughts, etc. should be reported to the doctor immediately. Caution is advised while giving this medicine to people with pre-existing psychiatric disorders.
This medicine should be used with caution in patients having Phenylketonuria as some components of this medicine may cause severe adverse effects in such patients. Report any unusual symptoms to the doctor immediately.
Use in pediatrics:
This medicine is not recommended for use in children younger than 2 years of age. Safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established for such patients.
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with spinal cord lesions or prostatic hyperplasia since it may increase the risk of urinary retention. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.
This medicine may rarely cause systemic eosinophilia in some patients with clinical features of vasculitis consistent with Churg-Strauss syndrome. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in such patients based on the clinical condition.
This medicine may increase the risk of sleepiness and impaired thinking when taken with medicines that are sedatives or tranquilizers. It is advised that you inform the doctor about all your current medicines including any herbs or supplements before beginning treatment with this medicine.
Pregnancy and Breast-feeding:
This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women and breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor may prescribe a safer alternative based on your clinical condition.
